Your work records

Jobs, shifts, breaks, schedules, tips, pay estimates, paycheck comparisons, payslip attachments and expenses are stored on your device. No app account is required, and there is no cloud synchronization. We do not upload your work records, employer names, pay amounts, payslip text or trip coordinates to our servers or attach them to analytics events.

Permissions and local processing

Location is used only for a trip you choose to start, including an ongoing trip while you use another app. The app does not request background-location permission. You can stop the trip or revoke location permission. Payslip text recognition runs on your device. Notifications are optional. Biometric or device-credential app locking uses Android authentication; the app does not receive your biometric template.

Backups, exports and deletion

Work data is excluded from Android cloud backup. You can create passphrase-encrypted backups and export or share reports using the destinations you select. Those destinations receive the files you choose to send. Attachments are encrypted in app storage. You can delete work records in the app, clear app storage or uninstall. Exported files and backups remain wherever you saved them until you delete them there.

Optional Analytics and Crashlytics

Google Analytics for Firebase and Firebase Crashlytics help us understand feature use and investigate reliability. Collection is disabled by default. You can enable or disable it using Privacy & Ads → Share usage & crash diagnostics. When enabled, these services may process feature interactions, app and device information, installation identifiers, approximate location derived from IP address, crash logs, diagnostics and performance information. Custom events use a fixed list without work-record contents. Advertising ID collection and ad personalization signals are disabled.

Disabling diagnostics stops SDK collection, deletes pending unsent crash reports and clears local feature counts. It does not automatically delete reports already sent to Google. Google applies its service retention and deletion controls; contact us for privacy questions or requests concerning information held by us. Avoid sending pay records or other sensitive information by email.

Free and ad-free

All Pro features are included free in this release. There are no advertising, billing or subscription SDKs, and the app does not process payments, loans, wage advances, bank connections or money transfers.

Service providers

Google processes optional diagnostic data to provide analytics and crash reporting services. SDK communications are encrypted in transit. We do not sell your work records. See Google’s Privacy Policy and Firebase privacy information.

Children and changes

ShiftPay is intended for adult workers and is not designed for children. We may update this policy when the app changes; the effective date identifies this version.
